Learning to be good citizens!!
Our Classroom Rules
1. Respectfully listen when someone is talking.
Raise your hand to speak.
2. Follow directions the first time they are given.
Do your best work at all times.
3. Treat everyone with kindness and respect.
See Jesus in others.
4. Take care of our school and classroom.
Be responsible for our belongings and the belongings of others.
5. Work and play safely and quietly.
Help make the room a quiet, working environment.
6. It’s ok to make mistakes.
Mistakes are opportunities for learning and growth.
We use a green, yellow, and red card system in first grade. All students begin the day on “green”. If a student is not following class rules, he or she will be asked to “pull” a card. A yellow card is a warning and reminder to get behavior back on track. If a child gets to a red card, behavior will be noted in his or her agenda.
Green cards cost “$1” to buy back at the end of the day; Yellow cards cost an additional “$5” to buy back. Students on “red” will also miss morning recess the next day.
Any student who pulls a red card will be sent to the principal’s office and a call will be made to the parents.
